Nice work, especially for a first attempt. Maybe just a little bit too simple. Maybe you could make the synth and bass patterns subtley progress, or add a proper breakdown somewhere in the middle.

hey - the vocal sample is interesting - the track at the moment falls between stools a little ... not quite one thing or the other... it could work totally minimal... or you need to make it a little more in terms of progression breaks etc... right now its between... but i listened the whole way through and it has some potential i think :-)
